Toyota Recall/Exclusion
NOTICE: Toyota Recall/Exclusion
Because of the recall by Toyota of specific vehicles which may exhibit a condition causing the gas pedal to stick in an open throttle position, the Texas Region Solo Board has determined that affected vehicles will be excluded from participation in regional Solo events until the rework defined by Toyota has been accomplished. The list of affected vehicles is as follows:
- Certain 2009-2010 RAV4
- Certain 2009-2010 Corolla
- 2009-2010 Matrix
- 2005-2010 Avalon
- Certain 2007-2010 Camry
- Certain 2009 Camry Hybrid
- Certain 2010 Highlander
- 2007-2010 Tundra
- 2008-2010 Sequoia
Highlander hybrids and most Camry hybrids are not involved in this action.
Further, Camry, RAV4, Corolla and Highlander vehicles with VINs that begin with "J" are not involved.
Owners of these vehicles will be required to show proof of the rework having been done, in the form of a completed Toyota or GM dealer repair order, when the vehicle goes through Tech Inspection prior to any Texas Region Solo event. A vehicle without this documentation will be considered to have failed the inspection and will not be allowed to run.
This step is being taken to ensure the safety of our event participants and guests and we thank everyone affected for your understanding and cooperation.
