The meeting was called to order at
7:30 pm by Sasha Lanz, Regional Executive.

Richard
Miller is working with a company to determine what cost would be for a
divisional newsletter, combining all Regions.
Company currently does newsletters for Home Owners Associations.
National
Convention, February 3-5
Robert
Vick mentioned that SCCA National will doing training for the new SCCA
National Electronic Registration program.
Discussion
ensued on having Chief Registrar attend training session.
Dan Sherrod made a motion to pay convention fee of $225 for Joyce
McKinstry to attend the training at the National Convention.
James made 2nd. Vote
passed.
Solo
Rescheduled
May Solo Event to coincide with May Road Race Event.
Now on May 7th on Bus Lot at TMS.
Solo would like to cross promote as much as possible both events.
Pro
Solo Event to be held on May 20-21st in Mineral Wells.
Jerry Terranova will be chairing.
Need to get update to TX Region webmaster for solo section
contacts on website.
Rally
SCCA
National has arranged a MADD Rally for October 2006.
Will start and end at Billy Bobs in Fort Worth.
MADD will publicize event and has previously generated $40k in
donations at the St. Louis and Fort Lauderdale events.
New
rules for Co-Op Rallies with other clubs:
Partner must pay all fees including guaranteed $100 Rally Steward
Fee, a safety check by Rally Steward is required and event must be open
to all SCCA members.
Performance
Rally is still alive in DFW under another name:
Amarillo Logistics Rally. Richard
Miller started entity and is looking to continue with events in 2006.
Bylaws
The
TX Region board would like to review amending the bylaws so they can be
voted on in the next annual election. 2/3’s of the members who send in their ballot would
have to approve any changes.
Possible suggestions are to allow board votes to take place over
email versus in meetings and to include a new officer position: Deputy
RE.
Motion
